a poem about me

I am warm, friendly
I wonder about certain old friends
I hear the silence of the night
I see my computer screen
I want to relocate to a great place
I am kind, considerate

I pretend not often but sometimes that I have an imaginary friend

I feel my imaginary friend is everything I need a friend to be
I touch my imaginary pet cat
I worry about when my lease is up my son and I will be homeless
I cry when I think of a pet, animal or human suffering
I am thoughtful and caring

I understand what Jesus tried to teach us
I say love and peace to everybody
I dream President Obama and Brad Pitt among other stars like me
I try to write and sing rap songs
I hope everybody can be healthy and happy
I am kind and loving

I wrote this poem with the help of this site:

I hadn't realized it's a site for kids.
Well after all I am a big kid.

Monica and Melinda

We moved to town when I was 8.

And right next door I found 2 playmates.

They were two of the prettiest little girls.

Their hair was made up in the cutest of curls.

But before that day to my amazement.

I never laid eyes on anyone of the African decent.

Monica and Melinda was their names.

So what they were Black I was not ashamed.

They was rich and I was poor.

And their house set in the fanciest decor.

Their mom wore a beautiful colored apron.

She cooked the most delicious chicken.

Being in their nice house I was so affright.

Their mom gave me a piece of chicken to my

delight.

But my fingers got sticky eating the chicken.

I being shy wiped my fingers on the curtain.

Then their mom I'm sure got a little mad.

I know I felt ashamed and kind of sad.

But she didn't get to much angered

as she gave me a towel to wipe my fingers.

I could never forget those memories.

Monica and Melinda grew up to be classy.

They was rich and I was poor

yet I loved them evermore.

my poem "Stuck Up Girl"

Hi people!  There are many a stuck-up person out there in the world.  I mean who knows how in the world a person can turn up so "upitty" or "stuck-up" but you have to realize maybe they really can't help how they are.  That's just how they happened to turn out.  But if they can change, it would be for the better and so if they can change they really ought to change for the good of society.  It's my personal belief that to be "stuck-up" is a bad character trait and maybe even considered a sin.  But that's only my personal opinion.  I suppose people have the right to be the way they are so if you don't like it you don't have to be around people like that.

This is a poem I wrote last summer in 2011 based on me and my son's true life experience with a certain person.

"Stuck Up Girl"

Hey stuckup girl
just who do you think you are
you act like you drive a
brand new car
you act like you own the world
stuckup girl, stuckup girl

We been to the place you work allot
I reckon you already forgot
You wait on my son and me
while we order donuts, coffee and tea

It wasn't a surprise seeing you at
the coffee shop
smiling laughing and talking to your friend
acting like your so hot

We passed right by you more than once
You didn't look at us
You didn't speak to us
You just pretended not to notice us

It's mean of you to ignore us
I call it a form of wickedness

There been times I encountered people like you
who only added to me feeling blue

So stuck up girl, stuck up girl
what makes you so special
Is it the perfect way you speak
the perfect way you act
and the perfect way you think you look

When we first moved to town
and started coming to the bakery
and you waited on us
You weren't the least bit friendly

And one day I passed you by on the street
you spoke not one word to me
stuck up girl, stuck up girl

Fed-up I mentioned how you treat us to the owner
and right in front of you to
only then did you start to act a little friendlier

It was just our bad luck to happen upon you in the coffee shop
I found the way you acted very upsetting
You really hurt my feelings
stuck up girl, stuck up girl

My son said he didn't care
He wasn't suprised at your snobbishness
He knows of your unkindness

You think your so great
You think your so smart
but you aren't
stuck up girl, stuck up girl

My son and I depressed, unhappy and lonely
while here you are fine, well and happy
By you ignoring us and treating us badly
Do you think your helping society

So why you got to be this way
Maybe your moma didn't teach you the right way
Or maybe you are just very big flawed
They'll come a day people won't be so awed

by you
Stuck up girl, stuck up girl
you really need to get a clue

"Bound for Glory" Poem

Upon watching the great movie "Bound For Glory" I was inspired to write this poem:

Bound for Glory was a very good movie

Twas about the famous Woodie Guthrie

He liked to write songs as he hoboed along

His wondrous songs he sang

as he hoped from train to train

He sang out important messages

in efforts to bring social changes
